Introduction to Arabic Grammar, Rhetoric, and the Islamic Tradition
This course begins with a reading and study of a work in progress, "Arabic for Americans: An Introduction to Arabic Grammar and Rhetoric (A Play in Three Parts)" for those new to the language or its sciences. It proceeds to a study of some of the most important texts on Arabic. It concludes with a study of some of the most important texts in the Islamic (and pre-Islamic) tradition.
