Peter Drucker, one of the founders of modern management, wrote that the study of management could revive the liberal arts. He said this because he saw management as a liberal art firmly resting upon the other liberal arts.     He also wrote that good management was necessary to the existence of free institutions.     This course begins with a reading of Good to Great by James Collins; then proceeds to How the Mighty Fall by the same. The course concludes with Management: Tasks, Responsibilities, Practices by Peter Drucker.
